Cascade Power Plant

Cascade is a high-efficiency, combined cycle power generation facility located on crown lands on a 52-hectare site. It has a capacity of 900 MW and will supply power to over 900,000 homes in Alberta. The plant utilizes modern, highly efficient industrial turbines, fueled by natural gas and is expected to result in the largest emissions reduction opportunity in the country’s electricity sector.
