My word is who I am, when I say it, I mean it. I am hell-bent on keeping my word and when I don’t, I deal with it in a way that you are satisfied. (I Say It, I Mean It)
Being honest with myself first and communicating where I am NOT being honest with you. Not pretending that I agree with you when I don’t. Not arguing, knowing that my interpretation is just my interpretation and not what happened. I am always willing to get your view. (No BS)
Responsibility allows me to go beyond being a victim of any circumstance. I know I can blame others or blame myself but I can also choose to do neither. Instead, I can choose to deal with life from a state of mind that I am “cause-in-the-matter”. I am the source of my reactions, my interpretations, and my feelings about what’s going on…no one is doing this to me. This unique definition of responsibility allows me to perform without the drama that wastes everyone’s time. (I own it)
I choose to be of service to others and act from a true purpose and be someone who makes a difference. I’m here to have a positive impact on my co-workers, my company, and the industry. The difference I make reaches into my family and my community and ripples beyond what I can see.
(I Give a Sh*t About Others)
I choose happiness so I can lead a contented life with meaning and purpose. I strive to prioritize my well-being and the well-being of others. I will choose happiness each day by focusing my language and actions in a positive and helpful way. I will use self-compassion and empathy when I or others make mistakes or need help. I will use optimistic and hopeful language so we can collectively get through times of stress and change. I will practice mindfulness so I can meet chaos with calm. I will develop my resiliency skills so I can rebound from adversity faster. I will choose gratitude so I can focus on all that I have versus what I don’t. I will reach out when someone is struggling and help them find the support they need. It is ok if I don’t feel happy. I am reassured that my team and the leadership at A&H have my back if I am struggling with my mental health. (Happiness)
I have always felt like a contributor to the company’s success rather than just a number. At A&H we have built strong relationships - elevating each other to be the best we can be for our teams and our customers. Sitting with ownership every month to find out what is working well and what I need additional support with; training and development; regular performance and development feedback; and an onsite cook to make meals for meetings and social events - these are just a few of the ways A&H lets me know I matter.

Manager of Projects – 18 years with A&H
A&H has always had faith in me and provided me with the opportunities to advance. Everyone here cares about doing the job right, we’re organized and don’t cut corners. Leading teams of hard working, honest people, and having managers to support me has created a very tight knit community. Many of the people I work with have become friends, not just coworkers.
